Juan Dolz del Castellar was an Aragonese philosopher and disciple of Gaspar Lax. They met when Gaspar Lax taught Art at the Collège de Montaigu in Paris. In 1509, he completed his studies for a degree and a teaching degree in Arts. He taught Arts at the Collège de Lisieux in Paris, around 1509, and in Montauban (Quercy), around 1518. He published a total of four treatises between 1510 and 1518, of which Disceptationes (1512) stands out.
